This year’s clip-on run will start in Brooker Avenue near the corner of New Brighton Road and Brooker Avenue in the Burwood ‘red zone’. Brooker Avenue starts from New Brighton Road and is one street westward from ANZAC Drive or three streets eastward from Bassett Street. If you are guided by ‘google maps’ the address to search for is 391 New Brighton Road. (There is no longer a house there though!)
There is plenty of parking in Brooker Avenue for cars and trailers.
We will ride for about 15 km to a very pleasant café where the staff will be expecting us. There will then be a ride of about 4 km back to the start.
We hope to see as many as possible present. Please note: DRESS TO BE SEEN.

20-22 March Friday - Sunday
This year we are riding to Greymouth to take part in The Scenicland Rally run by The West Coast Branch. The run will leave late morning on Friday 20 March, via Arthurs Pass - staying the two nights at the Recreational Hotel and returning Sunday 22 March. Backup will be provided. Accommodation has been booked, thank you to the members who advised me after the December Hub came out to say they are going as we are paying a deposit soon. If members have not told me then please advise me asap, if more want to attend than beds I have booked then they may be away from the main group in a motel/hotel. A motorcycle friendly run is being organized for riders and we will attend the evening rally event on the Saturday. I will organize the entry forms for The Scenicland Rally, once costs for that event are known you will be contacted for payment. Further info regarding the start and time for the Friday will be in March Hub.
Something a bit different than our usual run but will be worth it.

This is the third year that this event will be held and once again we are very fortunate to have a partner in Dutton Garage (est 1911).
The featured vehicles, as before, are those built during the war years and a Duttons medal will be presented to vehicles 100 years old and over. (VIC is required).
All club eligible vehicles are welcome with those produced after 1945 participating in a support category.
A commemorative number plate, also supplied by Duttons, will be given to all participants and the Malvern News will be including an entry list of pre-1945 vehicles along with the route for the information of Malvern residents.
Optional lunch is being supplied at the new Willows Cafe at the Hororata Golf Club (Glentunnel), where the vehicles will again be on display for the residents to come and view.
Three choices of meals will be offered so please indicate in the space provided on the entry form what meal/meals you have chosen.
Entries will close on the 31st March and no late entries can be accepted.
Come and join us on what is a very special day, remembering those that made the ultimate sacrifice and doing it in cars and on motorcycles that they would recognise.
The run will be preceded by a public display of the vehicles in the Darfield recreation ground carpark from 10am to 11am so please assemble from 9:30 when your day’s rally pack will be available. Please park where instructed.
The route travels on secondary roads (no shingle, easy veteran motoring) through the Malvern District and passes the War Memorials of Darfield, Sheffield, Hororata, Glenroy and Glentunnel. Feel free to stop and pay your respects with a poppy at each. Distance is approx 50 miles (80ks).
