Covid-19 Update 24 April 2020
There is no activity within the branch at present, or for the foreseeable future. All calendar events are cancelled until further notice with the exception of our Restoration of the year trophy. Visit our events page for an entry form for this trophy.
Our latest newsletter contains details and nomination forms for our AGM set down for 21 June, as this is a constitutional requirement. It is unlikely that the AGM can proceed on that date, and you will be advised in June of any postponement. Keep checking back regularly for more information.

THE VINTAGE CAR CLUB OF NEW ZEALAND (INC)
New Zealand’s Foremost Historic Motoring Authority
Welcome to one of the largest motoring clubs in New Zealand. With over 8,000 members and many thousands of vehicles and motorcycles listed on the club’s database, the Vintage Car Club of New Zealand offers something for everyone. You don’t need to own a Vintage vehicle to become a member – our club caters for all cars, trucks and motorcycles over 30 years old.
The club has 36 branches throughout New Zealand and runs a variety of events to cater for all our members: tarseal trundles, rural runs, hillclimbs, swapmeets and speed events as well as regular club evenings around the country for a yarn with like minded enthusiasts.
Our members share a common appreciation for fascination of age, the individuality and the functional elegance of vehicles from a by-gone era. Club-eligible vehicles include Veteran, Vintage, Post War, Post 1960, Post 1980, Commercial, Motorcycle and Historic Racing vehicles.
Canterbury is one of 36 branches of the Vintage Car Club of New Zealand and it is branch policy that where possible, prospective members attend a club night “Noggin and Natter” in the company of the member proposing the new member and meet the secretary or a committee member who will see that the new member is shown the facilities available and where possible is introduced to other members with similar vehicles and interests. The monthly meeting, “Noggin and Natter” is held on the first Thursday of each month in the clubrooms, Cutler Park McLean’s Island Road from 7:30 pm.
